Apparently, the same feelings you can get from drugs (like meth, oxy, anything that effects dopamine production) you can get from love. Granted, the drugs give you larger amounts, but nevertheless its all doing the same thing. So love is a drug? How interesting, how funny. It seems to me though, the word love is only referring to the chemical change that takes place in your body when you feel sexual attraction towards someone else. Does it go beyond that? Some say yes, but some people also believe their hallucinations when they take acid. That doesnt make them or it real. The idea of instant gratification and a society based around that idea has killed romantic love. Do you remember how our grandparents had such long and tender relationships? I promise its because they really loved each other, depended on each other. Now, we depend on only ourselves. We see it with our parents, the sadness and despair that abound in their relationships let the truth shine through. Love and then marriage is an outdated instuition. You can have love, you will probably lose it. In a society that wants everything now, now, now, when will we have time to form these close attachements? Sexual gratification has killed love and thats why so many shame it. Maybe its not a bad thing. But if you want it to survive, if you want to find something beyond that of a face to face interaction, if you desire to be desired in the way that you desire, stop it. Now.
